Membership Upgrade

After signup with Newegg Marketplace, you become a Standard seller and ready to do business on Newegg.com. To boost your business, you can upgrade your membership to either Professional or Enterprise level.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Membership Settings
  2. For more details about each feature, please mouse-over the “?” next to it.
  3. Click UPGRADE under the program you would like to enroll. ma_mu1.png
  4. When you have selected an UPGRADE:
    • Enter your payment information.
    • Review the terms and conditions.
    • Check the box of I acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions of participation in the Newegg Elite Seller Program. to accept the terms.
    • Click the SUBMIT to complete the upgrade.
      • Membership will be renewed each month. A valid payment card is required for monthly payment.
      • When upgrade process is completed, you will receive a confirmation message indicating that the upgrade process is completed. Your subscription to the new program will begin immediately. Your new membership type will be displayed on the Seller Portal for your reference. The additional functions to the marketing tools will appear on your Seller Portal menu. ma_mu2.png

If your current membership option is not the right one for you, you can switch between different programs. To switch, please contact Newegg Seller Service team at EliteSupport@newegg.com to cancel your current service then you can subscribe again. Please note: Initial enrollment in a Professional or Enterprise membership is 6 months with risk-free cancellation thereafter.

Update Business Information

Business Information contains your Seller Store Name, Merchant Information, Registered Business Address and Main Contact. In this section, you can edit this information. The Seller Store Name is what the seller is known as on Newegg Marketplace. The Merchant Information, Registered Business Address, and Main Contact is the business information which Newegg will use to contact the Seller, if necessary.

Note: Legal Name of Business/IRS Names must match IRS records. Once Merchant Information has been entered it cannot be changed/edited when it is saved, if you need to edit you may contact our Newegg Marketplace Seller Service team at: sellerservices@newegg.com.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Account Settings > Account Information > Business Information
  2. Click EDIT to make updates to Seller Store Name, Merchant Information, Registered Business Address, and Main Contact.
  3. Click SAVE to save the updates or CANCEL to cancel the updates.

Update Financial Information

Financial Information contains the account’s ACH (Automated Clearing House) Bank Information and W-9 Form. The bank account provided in this section will be the bank account into which Newegg deposits your earnings. (Please note: international sellers will have different business document requirements.)

Edit your ACH Bank Information and W-9, in this section when needed.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Account Settings > Account Information > Financial Information
  2. Download current W-9 Form
  3. Click EDIT to make updates
  4. To upload W-9 Form, click Select files… to select file from local drive then click UPLOAD FILES.
  5. Click SAVE to save the updates or CANCEL to cancel the updates.

Add/Update Address Information

Address Information contains your Contact Information.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Account Settings > Account Information > Address Information
  2. Mouse over to address form PRIMARY, EDIT, and DELETE are available options. Click EDIT to update address. If you have created multiple addresses click PRIMARY to make it your primary address or click DELETE to delete an address.
  3. Click ADD NEW ADDRESS to add additional addresses to account.
  4. When adding and/or updates to address completed, click SAVE to save the updates or CANCEL to cancel the updates.

Add/Update Notification email

Notification Options contains various email notification settings for account. You can input up to 3 email addresses to receive for each of various notifications.

  • Order Notifications – you can choose to receive order notifications, where a confirmation email will be sent to you each time a customer places an order for your item(s).
  • Voided Order Notifications – you can choose to receive voided orders notifications each time a customer or Newegg request to void an order. If you opt out of this you will be responsible for any voided orders that you ship.
  • Business Notifications – business notifications are notifications that Newegg will send from time to time with updates regarding your Seller Portal account. These are important notifications and should be received by an email inbox that you check on a regular basis.
  • Financial Notifications – receive financial notifications about charges being disputed by customers.
  • RMA Notifications – when a customer requests an RMA through the Newegg website, you can control whether you want to receive an email notification for this event.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Account Setting > Account Information > Notification Options
  2. Types of notifications Order Notifications, Voided Order Notifications, Business Notifications, Financial Notifications, and RMA Notifications.
  3. Click EDIT to add or update emails (max 3). Select Enable or Disable notification if available.
  4. Click SAVE to save the updates or CANCEL to cancel the updates.

Login Email, Password Reset and Authenticator Update

Login Settings contains your login email and a reset link to change login password. In addition, you may enable authenticator for added security for Newegg Seller Portal account.

NOTE: Google Authenticator app is required on your mobile device.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Account Settings > Account Information > Login Settings
  2. Your current login email address, if needed, click on “Click here to reset password” to change password.
  3. Click ENABLE 2-STEP VERIFICATION to request to enable authenticator. Important! Google Authenticator app is required on your mobile device. ma_pw1.png
    • Follow the steps to enable the authenticator. Input the verification code from Google Authenticator app then click ENABLE.ma_pw2.png
  4. OR, click DISABLE 2-STEP VERIFICATION to request to remove authenticator. ma_pw3.png

Add a Sub-user for Account

Under User Account Settings, an administrator of account can add sub-users. An email notification will be delivered to invited sub-user. In-order for the sub-user to enable account he/she will need to follow the link from email notification and log in to Newegg Seller Portal.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Account Settings > User Account Settings
  2. Click ADD A USER FOR THIS ACCOUNT
  3. Input the sub-user's email address then click INVITE to send invitation.

Manage Sub-user Access for Account

Under User Account Settings all the sub-users invited will be listed here. An administrator can set each sub-user’s access to one of the following three options: None, View, View & Edit.

Access options:

  • None – will disable the user from gaining access to function in Seller Portal.
  • View – can only view items in Seller Portal for a specific function, can’t create, update, download, or upload.
  • View & Edit – can view, create, update, download, and upload in Seller Portal for a specific function.

List of functions available:

  • Manage Account
  • Manage Items
  • Manage Order
  • Other Reports
  • Manage Promotion
  • Manage Message
  • Manage Store (only available if Category Manager enables it for your account)
  • Business Report
  • Add-on Services

By default, each sub-user’s access to each function will be set to “View” only. The difference between admin and sub-user, admin will have access to all available functions in seller portal. As opposed to sub-user’s, are limited to perform actions in Seller Portal.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Account Settings > User Account Settings
  2. Sub-user of account, click to see more or hide functions available.
  3. List of functions available and type of access is either None, View, or View & Edit.
  4. Click Edit to enable/deny access for functions for specified sub-user.
  5. Click SAVE to save the updates or CANCEL to cancel the updates.

Disable Sub-user from Account

You may disable a sub-user from Newegg Seller Portal account. When sub-user has been disabled they will no longer have access to Newegg Seller Portal account.

Note: if you want to completely remove a sub-user from Newegg Seller Portal account contact our Newegg Marketplace Seller Service team at: sellerservices@newegg.com.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Account Settings > User Account Settings
  2. Click MARK AS DISABLE and confirm request by clicking OK.

Add a Seller Logo for Account

Seller Information you can upload a logo for your account. The file has to be in GIF format and the resolution of the picture should be 127 x 33 pixels. Your logo for account will appear in various shopping/seller information pages on Newegg website including Newegg.com, NeweggBusiness.com, and Newegg.ca.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Account Settings > Seller Information
  2. Click Select files… to find the seller logo image on your local drive then click UPLOAD FILES to upload. The image dimensions width x height is 127 x 33 pixels and must be GIF format.
  3. Click SAVE ALL UPDATES to save seller logo to account.

Add Introduction about Store

Seller Information, you can maintain an introduction about your store on Newegg. This introduction will appear on the seller's Seller Profile page for Newegg customers to learn about your Newegg seller store.

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Account Settings > Seller Information
  2. Write a brief introduction about your store 4000 character limit.
  3. Click SAVE ALL UPDATES to save introduction to account.

Update Return Policy and Info for Neweggbusiness.com and Newegg.ca

You can define your return service information (return address and contact person, return service phone number, allowable return period, and restocking fee). You can also input your return policy details, which will be displayed on your seller store page on the website.

If you are using the Shipped by Newegg (SBN) service, Newegg will help process customer returns. We will direct all customer returns to our return center located in Whittier, California, in the U.S. To learn more about the benefits of SBN service, please review the SBN FAQ section.

NOTE: Switch platform or login to respective Neweggbusiness.com or Newegg.ca platform . Newegg.com platform, the return policy is not located in Account Setting refer to Shipping Settings.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Account Settings > Return Policy and Info
  2. Set Return Options:
    1. Return Request, you can choose to receive customer's return requests via Newegg, which will populate a return request in Seller Portal. This is a free service. By choosing Yes, customers will be able to apply return requests for your items on Newegg instead of contacting your customer service. This option only applies to items shipped by seller. For items Shipped by Newegg, customers can always apply return requests on Newegg.
    2. My Return Address, customers will return items to your specific address.
    3. Newegg Return Service, Newegg will be responsible to process customer returns with this value-added service.
  3. Set Inventory Return Address, the address that Newegg would return inventory to you, the inventory may come from shipped by Newegg, Newegg return service, or customers accidently returning to newegg instead of your warehouse. Add Address to set inventory return address.
  4. Set Customer Service Info and Return Policy, customer related info about your customer service. Your specific Return Policy details will be displayed on your seller store page on Newegg website store profile.
  5. Set Category Specific Refund and Replacement Period, per category set the number of days that refunds or replacements are made after invoice.
  6. To save all updates for Return Policy and Info, click SAVE ALL UPDATES

Find Subcategories Available for Account

Subcategory Reference you can view list of subcategories on Newegg and provides information if your account has access to list in the subcategory.

Note: Contact your Newegg Marketplace Seller Account Representative to make GRAYED out subcategories available for account.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Account Settings > Subcategory Reference
  2. View all industry available in Newegg. Select to view all subcategories for specified industry.
  3. View all subcategories available in Newegg.
    Subcategories in GRAY, not available for account.
    Subcategories in ORANGE, scheduled to be closed to ALL Marketplace sellers within 30 days.
    Subcategories NOT GRAY, available for account.
    icon indicates subcategory is eligible for Premier program. (Only available for Newegg.com).
    icon indicates subcategory is eligible for Refurbished item creation. (Available for Newegg.com, NeweggBusiness.com, Newegg.ca).

Add or Update Fulfillment Center

Fulfillment Center is designed to manage your fulfillment center/warehouse in Newegg system in order to fulfill the orders around the world. Click here for detailed guide in setting up Newegg store account and items for Newegg Global.

Please note: this is not available for Newegg.ca and Neweggbusiness.com platforms.

About Fulfillment Center/Warehouse and Ship-to countries:

  • Fulfillment center is the warehouse location for you to identify where the inventory is located. It can be any countries around the world.
  • A fulfillment center can be assigned to support one ship-to country OR multiple ship-to countries.
  • Multiple fulfillment centers can be assigned to support one ship-to country OR multiple ship-to countries.
  • Ship-to countries is the target countries where you will be selling to. Up to 51 countries available for you to select from.
  • Inventory update is to update the quantity in fulfillment center.
  • Item availability is controlled by activation status on ship-to country.

Click here to add a new fulfillment center.
Click here to update existing fulfillment center.

How-To Add Fulfillment Center:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Shipping Settings
  2. Click ADD FULFILLMENT CENTER addfulfillmentcenter01.jpg
  3. Enter Shipping Destination and select Warehouse Location, Warehouse Type, and Shipping Destination information. Read Newegg International Shipping Program Terms & Conditions, if shipping to different countries. Click NEXT or CONTINUE to move forward.

How-To Update Fulfillment Center:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Shipping Settings
  2. Select Fulfillment Center, click icon to update or click icon to remove Warehouse Location. Please note: if you chose to remove a Warehouse Location, the inventory will lost for that location only.

  3. Updating Fulfillment Center you can only update Shipping Destination Regions and/or Customer Return Address (only applicable for Shipped by Seller).

Prioritize Fulfillment Center

If you have multiple warehouses then you can set the priority of which warehouse will fulfill orders from certain regions. This is currently not available for Newegg.ca and Neweggbusiness.com platforms.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Shipping Settings > click NEXT until Fulfillment Priority section reached.
  2. Shipping Destination:
    • [Optional] click Hide completed setting. Show only countries where fulfillment priority has not been completed.
    • [Optional] search for specific countries.
    • Unchecked, fulfillment priority not set for shipped country destination.
    • Click on shipped country destination to set fulfillment priority.
  3. Fulfillment Priority:
    • Highest priority is 1.
    • Select Fulfillment Center Location.
    • Click Up/Down Arrows to change priority.
    • Local fulfillment center (i.e. same Shipping Destination and Fulfillment Center Location) will have higher priority.
    • Shipped by Newegg (SBN) will have higher priority.
  4. You must complete/update Fulfillment Priority, Return Policy and Info, Inventory Return Address, and Shipping Rate. Click NEXT to move forward to each section and at Shipping Rate, click SAVE to update Fulfillment Priority.

Update Return Policy and Info

You can define your return service information (return address and contact person, return service phone number, allowable return period, and restocking fee) for enabled countries. You can also input your return policy details, which will be displayed on your seller store page on the website.

If you are using the Shipped by Newegg (SBN) service, Newegg will help process customer returns. We will direct all customer returns to our return center located in Whittier, California, in the U.S. To learn more about the benefits of SBN service, please review the SBN FAQ section.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Shipping Settings > click NEXT until Return Policy and Info reached.
  2. Shipping Destination:
    • [Optional] click Hide completed setting. Show only countries where return policy has not been completed.
    • [Optional] search for specific countries.
    • Uncheck country does not have return policy set.
    • Click on country to work on return policy.
      • [Optional] If you have a completed return policy, you may COPY and APPLY the return policy to selected countries or all. This should be applied if copied return policy applies to different countries.
  3. Return Request, you can choose to receive customer's return requests via Newegg, which will populate a return request in Seller Portal. This is a free service. By choosing Yes, customers will be able to apply return requests for your items on Newegg instead of contacting your customer service. This option only applies to items Shipped by Seller (SBS). For items Shipped by Newegg (SBN), customers can always apply return requests on Newegg.com.
  4. Set Customer Return Address:
    • Return to Shipper: Returns will be sent to the order fulfillment center’s return address.
    • Local Return Address: Set a local return address of current country.
    • Newegg Return Service: Newegg provides value-added service for all your return requests. Review Newegg Return Service to learn more about this service.
  5. Set Customer Service Info and Return Policy:
    • [Optional] If you have a incomplete return policy. You may select a completed return policy and click COPY to apply the completed return policy to incomplete return policy.
    • [Optional] If you have many countries that have incomplete return policies. Under a completed return policy you may select specific countries and/or all, then click APPLY to selected countries.
    • Set Customer Service Phone#, Customer Service Email, Default Refund Period, Default Replacement Period, and Default Restocking Fee.
    • Enter your specific Return Policy.
  6. Set Individual Return Policy for Used Items set Default Refund Period, Default Replacement Period, and Default Period.
    • [Optional] you may COPY and APPLY used items to different countries.
  7. You must complete/update Return Policy and Info, Inventory Return Address, and Shipping Rate. Click NEXT to move forward to each section and at Shipping Rate, click SAVE to update Return Policy and Info.

Update Inventory Return Address

You can specify an address for Newegg to return your inventory from the following possible options:

  • Return inventory of Shipped by Newegg (SBN)
  • Newegg return service
  • Customer mistakenly returned items to Newegg.

How-To:

  1. Newegg Seller Portal > Manage Account > Shipping Settings > click NEXT until Inventory Return Address reached.
  2. Update contact information and address.
  3. You must complete/update Inventory Return Address, and Shipping Rate. Click NEXT to move forward to each section and at Shipping Rate, click SAVE to update Inventory Return Address.

Update Shipping Methods and Rates

For sellers selling in Newegg.com platform Shipped by Seller (SBS) you will be able to designate the shipping methods and associated rates by country, see details below.

  • You will set rates for local shipping and/or international shipping.
  • For Local Shipping, you can set local shipping rate IF local fulfillment center is available. For example:
    • If you are USA seller and you have fulfillment center in USA then you are able to set the local rate for all orders placed by USA customers.
    • If you are UK seller and you have fulfillment center in UK then you are able to set the local rate for all orders placed by UK customers.
  • Shipping rate is based on the currency of the shipping destination country.
  • You cannot set shipping rate at item level, all shipping charge will be applied to all items with Default shipping settings.

There are 4 shipping methods available for both Local Shipping and International Shipping. You may enable all or some methods, however, in order to activate your listing and shipping, at minimum one shipping method must be enabled. Each shipping method has a pre-defined shipping transit time Service Level Commitment (SLC):

  • Local Shipping:
    • Standard Shipping (5-7 business days)
    • Expedited Shipping (3-5 business days)
    • Two-Day Shipping (2 business days)
    • One-Day Shipping (Next day)
  • International Shipping:
    • International Economy Shipping (8-15 business days)
    • International Standard Shipping (5 - 7 business days)
    • International Expedited Shipping (3 - 5 business days)
    • International Two-Day Shipping (2 business days)

You can work with any shipping carrier and have its services to support these shipping methods as long as the transit time SLC can be met and real-time tracking information can be provided.

How-To:

  1. Newegg Seller Portal > Manage Account > Shipping Settings > click NEXT until Shipping Rate reached.
  2. Local Shipping:
    1. Set Shipping Model, you can set shipping charge calculation by order amount, weight, or unit.
    2. Set Shipping Methods and Shipping Rates:
      • [Optional] click Hide completed setting. Show only countries where shipping rates has not been completed.
      • [Optional] search for specific countries.
      • Unchecked countries shipping rates not completed.
      • Select country to work on shipping rates.
    3. Set Local Fulfillment Shipping Rates:
      • Left table will be based on shipping model (i.e. order amount, weight, or unit)

  3. International Shipping:
    1. Set Shipping Model, you can set shipping charge calculation by order amount, weight, or unit.
    2. Set Shipping Methods and Shipping Rates:
      • [Optional] click Hide completed setting. Show only countries where shipping rates has not been completed.
      • [Optional] search for specific countries.
      • Unchecked countries shipping rates not completed.
      • Select country to work on shipping rates.
    3. Set Local Fulfillment Shipping Rates:
      • Left table will be based on shipping model (i.e. order amount, weight, or unit)
      • Set shipping rates accordingly.
      • [Optional] If shipping rate is completed you may copy completed shipping rate and apply it to countries with incomplete shipping rate, if model is applicable for that country. Select the countries then click APPLY, Newegg system will convert the shipping rates accordingly based on current currency rate.local_shipping_2.jpg
  4. Click SAVE to save all updates to Fulfillment Center, Fulfillment Priority, Return Policy and Info, Inventory Return Address, and/or Shipping Rate.

Setup Newegg International Shipping Program

The NISP (Newegg International Shipping Program) provides sellers an easy way to sell globally without the complications of international shipping. Once an international order has been received, seller will ship the order to Newegg’s warehouse facility and Newegg team will manage the rest. NISP will ship to all international market made available on Newegg (China will be available on Q1, 2018).

Before using NISP, make sure your items are qualified:

  • United States (USA) is required as the ONLY fulfillment center/warehouse for target ship-to countries. All Items using NISP must be physically located in the United States (USA) fulfillment center/warehouse.
  • Newegg system will verify the item shipping dimension before being activated for the targeted ship-to countries. If an item is not qualified then the items will be deactivated from target ship-to countries.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Shipping Settings
  2. Make sure the United States (USA) is setup as the only fulfillment center for the targeted countries that will be using NISP.
    • Example Australia(AUS) and India(IND) will not be applicable for NISP since there are more than one fulfillment centers shipping to these countries.
  3. Click NEXT for 4 times to access the section of Shipping Settings.ma_nisp1.png
  4. Select the International Shipping tab.
  5. Choose the target ship-to country under Shipping Destination.
  6. Select Newegg International Shipping Program (NISP) option.
  7. Review the terms and conditions. Check the box of “I acknowledge and agree to these terms and conditions of the Newegg International Shipping Program (NISP) Agreement.” to accept the terms.
  8. Set the shipping rate based on Shipping Model selection order amount, weight, or unit.
    NOTE: This will be used to calculate the shipping rate, charge to customers, for the domestic shipping to Newegg warehouse facility.
  9. Click SAVE to complete.ma_nisp2.png
  10. There is a convenient way for you to setup the Shipping Rate for multiple countries: Apply below settings to shipping destination(s). This is designed to copy the current settings to additional countries.
    NOTE: The shipping settings must be completed for at least one international country in order to copy the settings. ma_nisp3.png
  11. Important! The international shipping charge will be calculated directly by Newegg and free shipping is not eligible for NISP. The shipping setting on item level will be updated to “Default” accordingly.

Remove Newegg International Shipping Program

Change from NISP (Newegg International Shipping Program) to regular SBS (Shipped by Seller).

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Shipping Settings > and click NEXT for 4 times to access the setting of Shipping Rate.
  2. Select International Shipping tab.
  3. Choose the target ship-to country under under Shipping Destination where NISP was applied.
  4. Switch from Ship to this country by Newegg International Shipping Program (NISP) to Ship to this country.
  5. Shipping rates will reset, adjust accordingly.

Setup Warehouse Location

For Neweggbusiness.com and Newegg.ca Marketplace sellers, please specify your default warehouse information.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Shipping Settings
  2. Specify the location of your warehouse/ fulfillment center.
    • Warehouse location is to identify the country of your warehouse/ fulfillment center location. Newegg will calculate order shipping charge based on this location.
      • For domestic seller, the default location is United States (USA) for NeweggBusiness and Canada (CAN) for Newegg.ca.
      • For international seller, you may select a different region:
        • Select USA for NeweggBusiness and Canada for Newegg.ca if your warehouse/ fulfillment center is located locally. Newegg will calculate order shipping charge as Local Shipping.
        • Select other regions, apply on both NeweggBusiness and Newegg.ca., if your warehouse/ fulfillment center is located the same country as your origin or other countries. Newegg will calculate order shipping charge as International Shipping.
    • Update Address, City, State/Province, and Zipcode accordingly.
  3. Click NEXT.

Tax Setting Newegg.ca Platform Only

For Canadian domestic seller or international seller with Shipped by Seller (SBS) warehouse located in Canada, you are required to provide your Federal Registration Number and applicable Province Registration number(s).

NOTE: For international seller's that do not have warehouse in Canada, Newegg.ca will charge 5% GST for all SBS orders. If Warehouse Location in Canada then taxing rule setup is applicable.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Shipping Settings > click NEXT under Warehouse Location to move forward to Tax Setting.
  2. Required to provide your Federal Registration Number and applicable Province Registration number(s).
  3. Click NEXT to proceed to next step.

Shipping Methods and Rates Update

For Neweggbusiness.com and Newegg.ca Shipped by Seller (SBS) respectively shipping to United States and Canada, you will be able to designate the shipping methods and rates, see details below.

  • You will set rates for local shipping or international shipping.
    • If domestic seller then local shipping rates will apply.
    • If international seller with domestic SBS Warehouse Location then local shipping rates will apply.
    • If international seller with international SBS Warehouse Location then international shipping rates will apply.
  • You cannot set shipping rate at item level, all shipping charge will be applied to all items with Default shipping settings.

There are different shipping methods available for Local Shipping and International Shipping. Please note this will be determined by your SBS Warehouse Location. You may enable all or some methods, however, in order to activate your listing and shipping, at minimum one shipping method must be enabled. Each shipping method has a pre-defined shipping transit time Service Level Commitment (SLC):

  • Local Shipping:
    • Super Saver (7-14 business days) ONLY applicable to Neweggbusiness.com
    • Standard Shipping (5-7 business days)
    • Expedited Shipping (3-5 business days)
    • Two-Day Shipping (2 business days)
    • One-Day Shipping (Next day)
  • International Shipping:
    • International Economy Shipping (8-15 business days)
    • International Standard Shipping (5 - 7 business days)
    • International Expedited Shipping (3 - 5 business days)
    • International Two-Day Shipping (2 business days)

You can work with any shipping carrier and have its services to support these shipping methods as long as the transit time SLC can be met and real-time tracking information can be provided.

How-To:

  1. Newegg Seller Portal > Manage Account > Shipping Settings > click NEXT until Shipping Rate reached.
  2. Applying shipping method and rates based on your current Neweggbusiness.com or Newegg.ca platform:
    • Neweggbusiness.com for Local or International Shipping:
      1. Set Shipping Model, you can set shipping charge calculation by order amount, weight, or unit.
      2. Set Shipping Methods and Shipping Rates for domestic or international shipping:
        • For domestic shipping, select a Shipping Destination to setup shipping rates, please note the shipping rates will only apply to selected destination.
        • Important! International shipping to United States is limited to the continental U.S. states and Alaska only. U.S. territories, protectorates, P.O. Boxes and military installations (APO/FPO addresses) are excluded. The Shipping Destination option will not be available for international shipping.
        • Select applicable shipping methods. Please note the shipping methods names will appear different if domestic or international shipping.
        • Based on shipping model (i.e. order amount, weight, or unit). You will set an appropriate range for your model (e.g. 0 to 1, 2 to 3, 4 and Up, etc).
        • Set shipping rates accordingly for specific range and methods. (e.g. for range by weight (lbs) 0 to 1, for local shipping (Super Saver) is $5.99). whl_b2b_can3_local.png
    • Newegg.ca for Local or International Shipping:
      1. Set Shipping Model, you can set shipping charge calculation by order amount, weight, or unit.
      2. Set Shipping Methods and Shipping Rates for domestic or international shipping:
        • Select applicable shipping methods. Please note the shipping methods names will appear different if domestic or international shipping.
        • Based on shipping model (i.e. order amount, weight, or unit). You will set an appropriate range for your model (e.g. 0 to 125, 125.01 and Up, etc).

  3. [Optional] Click EXPORT SHIPPING RATE SETTING, Newegg system will export current setting to Excel file.
  4. Click SAVE to save Shipping Settings updates.

Setup Taxes, Duties, and Import Charges for Shipments to China

When sell to China, sellers are responsible for complying applicable tax regulation. Newegg marketplace provides flexible ways for sellers to set up the payment type of the duty and taxes on both account level and item level. NOTE: If you are using the Shipped by Newegg (SBN) to ship orders to China, Newegg will process shipment with additional requirement. You can ignore the following process. Setting up via Newegg Seller Portal

Setup Default Settings on Store Level

How-To:

  1. In order to proceed the setup correctly, please make sure China is ready. To verify, Access Seller Portal > Manage Account >Shipping Settings
    NOTE: Additional approval from Newegg Marketplace team is required for selling to China. To submit your request, please complete the shipping settings. You are not able to proceed before your request is approved. ma_tax_setting1.jpg
  2. If you will be shipping the product (SBS), you can specify the import charges to be applied for the items you are shipping to China. Please note:
    • This setting will apply to all items activated for China. If you would like to apply different settings for certain items, please review the item level setting.
    • There are 2 types of setting available: Tax & Duty Type and Import Type.
    • Tax & Duty Type. To identify the tax and duty rules to be applied for items shipping to China.
      Available options:
      • DDU (default): Deliver Duties Unpaid. No duty or tax will be added to orders. Customers are responsible for additional duties and taxes during the customs clearance.
      • DDP: Deliver Duties Paid. Duties and taxes will be collected while customers placing orders. Sellers are responsible to pay all duties and taxes directly. Collected amount will be remit to sellers along with regular payment transactions.
      • ATI: All tax included. All duties and taxes are included in item’s selling price. No duty or tax will be added to orders. Seller are responsible to pay all duties and taxes directly.
    • Import Type. To identify the order import type for calculating the correct tax amount for items shipping to China.
      Available options:
      • EE (default): Taxes will be calculated as personal shipments. Recipient’s photo ID number and the copy of ID will be provided for processing orders.
      • EEP: Taxes will be calculated as business to customer direct shipments, known as Cross-Border e-Commerce. Payment holder’s photo ID number will be provided for processing orders.
    • Currency Option. For order's shipped to China, this information is provided for the customs clearance in China. Once the setting is updated, Newegg will display the order amount in selected currency. 
      Available Currency Options:
      • USD (U.S. Dollars)
      • CNY (RMB)
  3. Access Seller Portal then open Manage Account > Tax Settings to setup.

Through Newegg Seller Portal

How-To:

  1. Access Seller Portal, then open Manage Items > Item List. Select China(CHN) from the country drop-down menu.ma_tax_setting4.jpg
  2. Search the item(s) you would like to update. To update the settings:

    • Click SAVE ALL UPDATES to complete.

Through Data Feeds

How-To:

  1. You can specify different Tax Type for multiple items through data feeds. Access Seller Portal, then open Manage Items > Batch item Tax Settings.ma_tax_setting7.jpg
  2. Select the preferred format from Template File Type menu. If you would like to download the entire listings for China, make sure to select the option: Download template with your items populated in the file? Then click DOWNLOAD FILE TEMPLATE to submit your request.ma_tax_setting8.jpg
  3. Once the data feed is ready, you can download it and save file to local drive. The file will include a complete list of all your China listing.
  4. Identify the appropriate Tax, Duty Type and Import Type for qualified items.ma_tax_setting9.jpg
  5. Once you are ready, upload the file to Manage Items > Batch Item Tax Settings> Upload File tab or through FTP: Inbound/ItemTaxsetting.
  6. Newegg system will process the file and update your items accordingly. You can check the upload history and result from the same section.

    • ITEM_CHINATAXSETTING_DATA is available to set tax type for items enabled for China, Section 12.
  2. Report Management
    • Tax setting report is available for Items Enabled for China, Section 14.

Data Feed Settings Setup of FTP and Inventory Snapshot Files

Data Feed Settings, you can request/update FTP for account. By requesting FTP, system will auto generate Order files and/or Inventory Snapshot data files. Alternatively using FTP, you can upload Newegg specific data feed templates to create items, update items, and process orders without directly dealing with seller portal interface.

Please review section 9 Integrate via FTP for more details in our integration guide.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Data Feed Settings
  2. Click REQUEST to setup FTP. Enter password and select file format for order list file. Click SAVE to save FTP account request and/or updates.
  3. If you would like to receive daily inventory snapshot report through FTP or upload. Please click REQUEST. Select File Format, File Generation Start Time, and File Generation Frequency. Click SAVE to save Inventory Snapshot File request and/or updates.

Schedule Store Account Vacation Mode

The purpose of this function is to temporarily make Newegg account store invisible from Newegg website(s) for a period of time. Meaning store account and items will be offline.

  • Vacation mode will not process if there are any ongoing product promotion. Contact category manager or Newegg Integration team at: datafeeds@newegg.com to help close promotion(s).
  • Account status should be clear of unprocessed orders, open RMAs- (Returned Merchandise Authorizations), or unanswered customer/system messages to avoid lowering seller performance rating.
  • Vacation mode days set: Minimum 3 days, Maximum 30 days.
  • Price, inventory, and content updates will be available during scheduled vacation.
  • Newegg system will enable auto reply during vacation mode for customer messaging.

How-To:

  1. Seller Portal > Manage Account > Vacation Settings then click SETUP VACATION MODE.vacamodesetup01.png

Edit Duration of Vacation Mode

If Newegg account is currently in vacation mode, you may edit the number of vacation days.

How-To:

Cancel Vacation Mode

If Newegg account is in vacation mode, you may cancel it. Canceling will end vacation mode and Newegg store account and active items will appear online in Newegg website.
